OPM artists join hands to uplift people with ‘We Heal As One’

A total of 25 artists, composed of young and veteran singers-songwriters from different television networks, come together for an inspiring song in this time of global crisis.

The music video of the song is uploaded on the YouTube account of Universal Records Philippines.

“Handog namin itong kantang ‘to para sa lahat ng Filipino. Tayo na po’t magka-isa at magtulungan para malapagsan po natin ang pagsubok na ito. Stay home,” said National Artist for Music awardee Ryan Cayabyab at the start of the video.

“Tara sabay-sabay natin,” he added, then this text appeared: “Together we are being called to make a future world. The test we face is for us to prove that we can heal as one.”

Among artists who sang on the track are (in order of appearance) Iñigo Pascual, Julie Anne San Jose, Jed Madela, Pops Fernandez, Mark Bautista, Jamie Rivera, Rita Daniela, Martin Nievera, KZ Tandingan, Aicelle Santos, Isay Alvarez, Menchu Lauchengco, Ogie Alcasid, Michael Williams, Robert Seña, Alden Richards, Ken Chan, Christian Bautista, Paolo Valenciano, Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, Lani Misalucha, Gary Valenciano, Apl de Ap, and Lea Salonga.

The chorus goes: “We heal as one with kindness. We heal as one. We serve, we share, we show compassion. We heal as one.”

The title and lyrics were written by Floy Quintos while Jimmy Antiporda did the musical arrangement.

Frank Lloyd Mamaril directed the music video. He stitched the clips of the stars singing each line from their respective homes.

At the end of the video, viewers are encouraged to help the frontliners by sending their donations to the Philippine Medical Association.
