Leicester City host Everton in the Premier League on Wednesday, with Brendan Rodgers’ side hoping to move top of the table with victory.
The Foxes can move top for a couple of hours at least, with Tottenham travelling to play Liverpool later in the night. Leicester emerged triumphant at the weekend against Brighton and were the only English team in European competition midweek to pick up a league win.
Although Leicester have been in good form overall this term, they have won and lost three games equally on home soil, so there remains room for improvement as they aim to secure a Champions League spot for next season. Key to their hopes will be Jamie Vardy’s scoring form and Rodgers believes there are plenty more goals to come from the veteran.
Everton have struggled for consistency this season, being stretched by injuries and suspensions after having made a good start. They returned to winning ways against Chelsea last time out and moved up to seventh in the process, but Carlo Ancelotti will know they must keep winning matches against sides around and above them if they hope to secure European football next season, which the Toffees have only enjoyed twice in the last decade.

Jonny Evans is suspended for Leicester, while Caglar Soyuncu and Timothy Castagne will have to be assessed as they look to make returns after injury. Ricardo Pereira is out too, while Wilf Ndidi may return to the defensive line instead of featuring in midfield.
Everton are missing full-back pair Lucas Digne and Seamus Coleman still, while James Rodriguez is also absent for this match. Fabian Delph and Jean-Philippe Gbamin should offer returning midfield options in the coming weeks but won’t feature here.

Leicester’s mix-and-match back line is the weak point for Everton to try and exploit, but the Toffees have been entirely unable to bring consistency to their game and without their full-back outlets there’s huge emphasis on the likes of Alex Iwobi and Gylfi Sigurdsson to try and put more than a couple of decent outings together - which they have so far been unable to do.
