Well it did not take long for the newest member of the Bronx Bombers to leave the yard. After Morales was acquired from the A's, he quickly got to work in the lineup at Yankee Stadium, hitting a moonshot against the Rays for his second homer of the year, and his first in pinstripes.
Morales absolutely crushed this ball 417-feet, sending the message to all those fans who questioned the trade that he still has some gas left in the tank.
The home run was not just a feel good shot, but an important one as it put the Yankees in the driver's seat in the battle for first place in the A.L. East.
